[Food] Mingles

Is a contemporary food based on Korean ingredients restaurant, presented by Chef Kang Mingoo. Located in Cheongdam area, this restaurant is definitely cannot be found easily as they only put a tiny little restaurant sign in front, so make sure you have your gps on, and open your eyes as wide as possible unless you might be have a little hard time to find this restaurant. But anyway, this is not the point.

This restaurant open from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch time (the last order is 1.30 p.m. though) while dinner time starts from 6 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. with last order at 8.30, and it close 30 minutes earlier on Saturday and public holiday. And it has a different menu during lunch and dinner.

We were served with a lot of different types of appetizer before our main dishes come out. The first few appetizers which come out are these...
Made from sugar pastry chips it looks like a sandwich biscuit, in the between of the pastry chips you get to eat a mixture of Korean Beef and Mushroom.
Chips made out of seaweed with various types of seafood tasting on top of it. This one taste good as well, but I prefer the first one though. =)
Okay I can't really remember what this one is, but I think it's a squid with grapefruit and ginko.
This one is a mixture of many types of mushroom, with a shrimp hidden below of it. And the sauce taste awesome. I'm drooling once again when I'm writing this.
And before the main menu comes out, the restaurant served us with this. A potato ice cream with lime sauce inside, it's definitely a good choice to wash out every taste of the appetizer and be prepared for the main dishes. And my choice of the main menu today is a lamb chop~!
This comes out with mashed pumpkin (p.s. not a mash potato) and the lamb meat taste wonderful and tender enough to melt inside of your mouth. T.T Oh if just they made the servings a little bit larger than this size.

Love it or hate it, here come's the dessert time. There are 2 types of the dessert you can choose from, it's either Jang Trio or Summer Coco. The second one is a rasberry sorbet with certain seasoning, I tried both and prefer the first one to the second.
Why is it called trio Jang? Because this is a vanilla ice cream (on the left) and creme brulee (on the right) with Doen-Jang (soybean paste) and Gan-Jang (soy sauce) sprinkled with Gochu-Jang (red pepper). Sounds weird? But guess what it taste even more wonderful than your basic vanilla ice cream and creme brulee. Like thousand times better. =)
And not to forget, they give you an eggshell sikhye. The eggshell is just for decoration while sikhye is a sweet rice drink. =)
