This is one of my favorite restaurant in Seoul. I've visited this place numerous time, but never have the mind to took photos and write a story about it since it always manage me to lose my mind once the wonderful food is being served on table. =) They have quite numerous branches spread around Seoul and outside Seoul as well (maybe). The one that I visited yesterday is the one located near Seoul National University Station, go out of exit no. 2 and keep walking straight until you see "Olive Young" on your left hand. The restaurant is called Ojju and it's located in the basement. The place is wide, but I don't know why they don't get that much of customer in this branch compare to the others.
It's not your ordinary egg soup, inside you still get these kinds of fish cake which taste super wonderful. Hmmmm... ^^
I'm not a fan of alcolhol. I can't drinks, but this one really deserved two thumbs up from me. It taste sweet, no slight taste of alcolhol, and I bet everyone of you out there can enjoy this drink just like you're enjoying a glass of coca cola. ^^
Meaning that if you come to the restaurant after 9PM (the restaurant closed at 12 AM),, they will serve you a free of these options "Egg Soup" or "Mokssabal" or "Cream Makkeolie".
I ordered a webfoot octopus, a cheese fondue, Egg Soup, Mokssabal and Cream Makkeolie. In other words, I tried almost every of the food they serve here. lolz
The first thing to come out is the cheese fondue...
For first timer, you might don't know about this, but you will have to keep stirring the cheese when it's being heated, unless the cheese will stick on the pan and get burned, then it won't taste nice anymore.
Here come the octopus, and you won't have to do anything, as the waiter in the restaurant will help you to cook and prepare everything, so all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the food. ^^
And here's how the Mokssabal look like...
It's a mix of types of vegetable and Korean acorn jelly. It doesn't taste too good, but it doesn't taste too bad as well. I only ate this for the sake that I need to consume vegetables as well. And at this stage, the octopus has turned into this way...
And this is where they are going to add some bean sprouts on top of it, then you'll have to wait for few minutes before you can start to eat. =)
By this time, the cream Makkeoli and Egg Soup I ordered is finally here... ^^
It doesn't look too delicious here because I'm not really good at taking pictures, but I'll try to take a better shoot the next visit.
I'll save the cream makkeoli pictures for the last, as the cheese is melting....
And you get to put your octopus in the cheese...
And... put it inside your mouth, then you can taste the combination of the spicy octopus and the cheese fondue makes out the best wonderful combination taste you might ever taste. LOLZ. I'm a little bit exaggerating on it, it taste really good though. But, what I think being served best in this restaurant is not the food but THIS~!
Toast for all of you~!! Have a nice weekend ahead~! =D
