This is one of the Korean's favorite food, though some of Korean, girls especially, don't really enjoy this stuff as they think it's disgusting. LOLZ! But for those who're a fan of intestines, then this is a must try~!
Most of Indonesian people enjoying eating this kind of stuff too though, I never tried a BBQ one before in Indonesia. We normally have it in soup rather than grilled and eat it. The first time I tried this thing out in Korea, is in a restaurant somewhere near Hyehwa Station and I directly fell in love with this food. The one in the picture is the one I had around Bongcheon area though.
And I must say the one sold in Bongcheon is the most delicious intestines BBQ I ever had, other than the one I had in Sinchon which also taste incredible. They normally will serve you with this raw heart, which you can choose either to eat it directly or grilled it first before you eat it. I prefer the raw one though. =P
They also serve you with seasoned chives. And this is the main point of eating the BBQ intestines. No matter how delicious the grilled intestines is, the chives which come along must taste good as well, to make a wonderful and super tasty combination. =D But warning for all of you not to eat these stuffs when you've an important meeting or have to meet important person the next day, since these chives though it doesn't taste strong when you eat it, it will leave a strong and lasting smell after the meal. Even worse than garlic... Believe me... XD
After a while you can see the grilled intestines is out~! The one on the left which have red seasonings is called 대창 (read : Daechang) and the other one is called 곱창 (read : Gopchang). I prefer the gopchang to the daechang though, since I prefer an original taste to everything and daechang is just too oily for me.
Kekekeke, it takes sometimes before they are finally cooked and ready to be eaten. For intestines lover, you might want to control yourself not to intake these stuffs often, since it's really high in cholesterol and might do no good to your health, though I must admit this stuff is really delicious. Sob Sob!
